Setting: Farnsworth’s Lab
Fry, Leela, and Bender are siting around the lab when Professor Farnsworth enters.
Professor Farnsworth: “Good news everyone.”
Bender: “I don’t like the sound of that.”
Professor: “I have invented something.”
Fry: “What did you invent?”
Professor: “Uh what, I didn’t say I invented anything.”
Bender: “Five, four, three, two, one.”
Professor: “Good news everyone I have invented something.” “It is a time machine that can send you anywhere in time and place that you wish to go.”
Fry: “Wow, that’s amazing isn’t it?”
Leela: “Does it work?”
Professor: “Does what work?”
Bender: “You’re brain.”
Leela: “No, your time machine.”
Professor: “Of course it does.”
Fry: “Why did you build it?”
Professor: “I have a package to deliver that is long overdue.” “It needed to be delivered to a town called Springfield to a old miser named Charles Montgomery Burns who has been long dead for over 900 years.”
Bender: “So then how did we get package from him if he’s dead?”
Professor: “He sent it ahead to the future to the first delivery service with time traveling capabilities and since I made a time machine it came to us.” “In his letter he has offered a large sum of money for the package’s safe delivery.”
Bender: “Why do I get the feeling we’re going to make a trip.”
Later in the Lab they are all in a room next to a large machine marked time machine.
Professor: “Here is the package and here is a mint for each of you.”
Leela: “What’s the mint for?”
Professor: “We’ll just say if it drops out of your mouth you will be sucked into time and space forever.”
Fry: “Good point.”
Professor: “Okay everyone gets into the time machine, it is set for the year 1996.” “Have fun everyone.”
They all get into the time machine and a bright light engulfs them. Weird music plays as they are hurtled back in time and in a rainbow colored vortex. They appear in the center of town near the sundial just as an old man comes walking down holding his bleeding chest.
Jimbo Jones: “Are you okay man.”
Fry: “We should help him.”
Leela: “No Fry, we can’t tamper with the past or it could upset the future
time line.”
Bender: “Ain’t that the old guy we have to deliver the package to.”
Chief Wiggim: “This isn’t Mr. Burns.” “It’s a mask.”
Leela: “Oh good.”
Wiggim: “No wait it is Mr. Burns it was just his wrinkly skin.”
Dr. Julius Hibbert: “We’ll I can’t possibly explain this mystery, can you
(pointing to Wiggim)?”
Wiggim: “Well I’ll give a try it is my job.”
Fry: “Now what are we going to do with the package?”
Leela: “I’ll look on my information bracelet to see about what happens to him.” “It says that he will survive but will be crazy for the next week or so.”
Bender: “We have to stay in this stupid century for a whole week and my liquor supply is going low, I’m going to find a bar.” “Anyone going to come with me?”
Fry: “I always want to check out Springfield, Missouri so I’ll see you later Bender.”
Bender: “Your loss.”
Leela: “I am going to find Mr. Burns’ House, I will catch up with you guys later.”
Fry walks down the street until he comes across a building marked Quick-E Mart and he goes inside.
Apu: Nahasapedapedilon: “Hello customer, would you like to buy a Squishy?”
Fry: “Okay.”
Apu:: “What flavor?”
Fry: “I’ll take the green stuff.”
Apu:: “Good choice.”
Outside the store Fry is drinking the Squishy.
Fry: “That’s some good Squishy!”
In another part of town Bender enters a bar called Moe’s Bar.
Moe: “We don’t serve your kind here.”
Bender: “I’m a heavy drinker.”
Moe: “Well then come right in.”
Barney:: “Hey don’t I know you?” “BURP!”
Bender: “Maybe, do you have a any cousins?”
Barney:: “You’re the guy from the Wizard of Oz, the Tinman right?”
Bender: “You’re my kind of a guy.”
Later Fry comes across a small house on Evergreen Terrace and knocks on the door. Homer Simpson comes to the door.
Homer: “Hello who are you?”
Fry: “I am a insurance salesman.”
Homer: “Marge, get my gun.”
Fry: “I’ll be leaving now.”
At the end of the week Fry, Leela, and Bender meet up at Springfield
Hospital to give the package to Mr. Burns when he comes out of his insane
ramblings. Just as they enter a huge mob off people swarm the hospital.
They enter the hospital after the mob goes in. As they come to Burns’ room they hear.
Mr. Burns: “It was Maggie Simpson.” “Arrest her at once.”
Wiggim: “You can’t lock up a baby.”
After the mob leaves Fry, Leela, and Bender hand the package to Mr. Burns.
Fry: “Here is your package sir.”
Mr. Burns: “Well it is about time, for your lateness you will get no payment from me.”
Bender: “Damn cheapskate.”
Fry:(As he is leaving) “What could be so important that is had to be delivered from the future?”
Then the three of them disappear in a beam of light.
Mr. Burns: “Oh Bobo I’ll never let you go again.”
NOTE: I know very well that Fry saw a Bart Simpson doll on the in trash ball in E7 but this had to be done one way or another and also I didn’t realize it until I was almost done so it doesn’t hurt anyone.
