Q. What Is Futurama?

A. It's about a pizza delivery boy named Fry who, on New Year's Eve 1999, gets inadvertently frozen in a cryogenics lab and wakes up 1,000 years later. The themes: If you are a loser, is it possible to reinvent yourself? How do you deal with the desire for youth, for the return of dead loved ones, and what does it mean to be finite in the universe? Boy, is this too pretentious or what?

Q. What Voice Talent Is Utilized On Futurama?

  • Billy West - Billy West is best known for his voice talents in Ren & Stimpy but this year look for him to play Futurama's main character "Fry". Fry is a 20th century "Everyman" who manages to escape his lackluster life when he finds himself 1,000 years in the future.
  • Katey Sagal - Katey Sagal best known for her long stint on "Married With Children" says this about her roll in Futurama as "Leela"; "The show is really extremely funny," says the actress. "This is really well-written. So, yeah, I'm having a good time doing this."
  • John DiMaggio - John DiMaggio, known for his character on Chicago Hope Dr. Scan Underhill, is partaking the Robot character "Bender" in the long awaited show.
  • Tress MacNeille (Animaniacs, The Simpsons) - Assorted Voices

Q. What Time Is It On And What Network?

A. Futurama can be seen on Sunday nights at 7:00 P.M. It's without a doubt the most moved show on FOX television so don't rely on that time staying the same.

Q. What's Futurama's Schedule?

A.Futurama is on Sundays in the United States at 8:30, but will be moving to 7:00 starting in February of 2000.

Q. Why Doesn't The Outlet Have Full Episode Videos?

A.That'd be like biting the hand that feeds us now wouldn't it? Think about it. You don't watch the show because the Outlet offers quick downloading quality full motion videos for you to watch without commercials. Hmmmm....no commercials, no money to make more Futurama with, no Outlet. I know some countries don't get Futurama but FOX is working on it.

Q. Will The Show Be Broadcast In The U.K.?

A. Yes. All sources point to the first airings of Futurama in September and will be available on Sky One. Start date is September 21st, 1999.

Q. Where Else Will Futurama Be Broadcast?

A. Futurama started broadcasting in New Zealand on the 26th of September, 1999.

Re-runs of Futurama are also being broadcast on ITV, a Canadian channel out of Edmonton, Alberta. The re-runs are one week ahead of Fox's re-runs.

Futurama is now in Australia (started 2/12/99) and is on Channel 7 at 8:00pm on Fridays.

Futurama is now in Belgium (starting 1/30/2000)

Futurama is now in Italy (started 1/6/2000)

FOX8 (dutch division) is broadcasting Futurama weekly.

Futurama is now in Sweden (started 4/13/2000)

Futurama is now in France Every Saturday At 5:05 pm On Canal+(started 3/13/2000)

Futurama will be shown in Germany on the same station as the Simpsons (starting 10/2000)

It seems that Denmark´s TV2 (a "national" channel that is free for everyone)http://www.tv2.dk started sending futurama 2/2/2000.

Futurama airing in Mexico last 9/99 on FOX. Second season started 3/12/2000

Futurama Has been broadcasted in South Africa, Until Episode 7 (my Three suns). Futurama was then taken off the Air in November and the simpsons was put back on.
Mnet plans to put it back on, (hopefully soon)

Futurama is now in Malaysia Every Monday At 10:30 pm On TV3 (started 4/03/2000)

Futurama will be shown in Spain on the same station as the Simpsons, Antena 3 ( www.antena3tv.es) saturdays and sundays at 14.00 pm
